To visualize the process of expanding sound into space, visual identity of the 15th Gwangju Biennale, «Pansori — A Soundscape Of The 21st Century» closely focuses on morphological resemblance between the silhouettes of the mountains and sound waveforms, observed in An Gyeon ’s Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land (夢遊桃源圖). To visually convey the theme of resonating sound in the space where we live, various species of flora and fauna are processed into silhouettes resembling both outlines of the mountains and soundwaves, finally making up a united landscape. The identity forms light and dark variations, visualizing what the 15th Gwangju Biennale aims for — the exploration for sustainable space and the resonance of various beings.
